No, you are not required to choose a title or settlement agent at the time of listing your property on Houzeo.
Houzeo is a limited-service MLS platform that helps you list your property on the local MLS through a licensed listing agent. The selection of a title or settlement agent typically happens later in the transaction process—usually after you accept an offer and move toward closing.
In most transactions:

The buyer may suggest or select the title/settlement company (common in many states).

You may, as the seller, also recommend or choose a preferred title company, depending on local customs and the purchase agreement.

In some states, the choice is negotiable between buyer and seller.
While you are not obligated to select a title agent during listing, you will need one to handle the closing process once your property goes under contract.
If you’re unsure about how title selection works in your state, you can consult your listing agent or review your local real estate practices.
You can add your own title agent. The title agent provided by Houzeo is not mandatory. You have the flexibility to choose a different title agent of your preference.Once you complete the 7th step which is updating the property description and uploading the photos, you get redirected to your Houzeo Dashboard, and can henceforth follow the below steps:
1: Navigate to the "
Your team" section on the top right corner and click on the "
+"sign.

2: You can remove the existing closing agent by clicking on the bin sign beside the agent's name.
3.Click on the "Add Member" button within the "Your Team" interface.
4: Fill out the required information like the type of agent, the name and the contact info of your agent that you are going to add .
5 Click on "Add" button below.
You can also opt out assigned settlement/escrow/title/closing agent. Follow the below steps to remove the agent:
>> Click on "+" icon under "Your Team"
>> Click on "Delete" button to remove the "Seller Title Agent" .
