How do I identify my local MLS?

How to Find Your Local MLS:

While Houzeo takes care of the MLS listing process, having a fair idea about your Local MLS is beneficial. You can use websites like Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com, etc. to search for your local MLS.

Idea
Let's use Zillow as an example, you can choose any of the above-mentioned websites and follow the same steps.

Zillow Search: It is always recommended to search the local MLS from the "Sold" properties.
Info
"Sold" listings will mostly give you the accurate data.

Here are the steps you can follow to find your local MLS on Zillow:

    • Open zillow.com & input your zip code/city in the search box.
    • Once the search is completed, go through at least the first 5 listings under the "Sold" category for better results.

    • Open the listing and search for "Source" as shown in the image below.

    • Search the acronym on Google to get the full name of that MLS. In the above screenshot, the Source shows "YARMLS", which is the Yuma Association of Realtors MLS.

    • The Source MLS which shows up the maximum amount of times, is your local MLS.
