Are we able to be the main point of contact on the listing? Do the buyers have to go through an agent?

You can absolutely be the main point of contact for your listing on the MLS. Here’s how it works:

Your contact details are displayed on the MLS listing under Agent Remarks, so any buyer agents viewing the property on the MLS are instructed to contact you directly.

As per MLS regulations, seller contact details cannot be displayed on third-party websites such as Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com, or Trulia. However, once your property is listed on the MLS, most of the inquiries originate through the MLS, where your contact information is available.

If a buyer reaches out to the Listing Agent through a third-party website, the Listing Agent will forward the lead to you or facilitate sharing your contact details with the inquirer, enabling the buyer to connect with you directly.

This way, you receive maximum MLS exposure, remain the primary point of contact, and still comply fully with MLS guidelines.
