My under contract listing is set to expire before the closing date. What should I so?

My under contract listing is set to expire before the closing date. What should I so?

If your property is under contract or pending sale, there’s no need to worry about the original expiration date. Here’s what happens:

1. MLS Auto-Extension Until Closing

  • The MLS system automatically extends your listing until the scheduled closing date.
  • This ensures your property remains visible on the MLS throughout the transaction process.
  • Once the closing is complete, simply update your listing status to "Sold".
  • Here’s how: Update Your Listing to Sold.

2. What If the Deal Falls Through?

  • If the sale does not close, and the original expiration date has already passed, the MLS will automatically mark your listing as expired.
  • In this case, you will need to create a new listing to re-market your property.
