I accidentally uploaded information for the wrong property. Is there a way to wipe the info clean and start again?
We understand that mistakes happen, and uploading information for the wrong property can be a hassle. Unfortunately, due to the system designed to ensure accuracy and legal compliance, Houzeo cannot directly erase details and start over on an existing listing.
Here's why:
- Unique ID System: Each property updated on Houzeo has a unique ID assigned upon listing creation. This ID links the listing to specific plans, assigned agents, MLS (Multiple Listing Service) affiliation, and legal documents. Changing the address would disrupt these connections.
- MLS Integration: Houzeo integrates your listing with the MLS based on the property's location. Legal documents associated with the listing depend on the specific MLS used. Altering the address would require a new MLS association and potentially new legal documents.
The Solution: Deactivate & Re-list
While we can't edit the incorrect listing, we can help you create a new listing with the correct details and deactivate your existing listing. Please reach out to us so that we can help you with the process.
