How do I change the Listing status to Temp- Off Market?
To change the listing Status to Temp-off Market, follow these steps on your Houzeo Mobile App:
Step 1: Login to your Houzeo Mobile App and click on 'My Homes' and click on your properties 'Primary Image.'
Step 2: Click on 'Change MLS'.
Step 3: Click on 'Other'.
Step 4: Enter the details under Other Information, specifying that you want the listing to be temporarily off the market, along with the start and end dates.
Step 5: Once the details are added, click on Confirm. You will then be prompted to sign the document.
Step 6: Once you sign the document, the amendment will be successfully submitted and the listing agent will be notified. The listing agent will update the MLS within the next 24–48 business hours.
Please note: The temporary off-market period varies by MLS. However, most MLSs allow a timeframe of up to 30 days for a property to remain temporarily off the market.
Once your property is listed, the buyer/buyer's agent should be able to schedule showings immediately. But if you want to delay showings, you have a few options:
Mark as "Temp-off market": Additionally, you should update your property status to "Temp-Off Market" to notify buyers and agents that showings are paused by submitting a 'Change MLS Listing – Other' amendment request. Refer to this article for the steps to mark the property Off-market.
Also, you can use a Showings App: If you bought a service like ShowingTime, you can choose when your home is available for visits by setting specific dates and times.
When your property is marked as 'Temp-off Market', the cumulative days on the market continue to count.
Thus, you can pause showings even after your listing is live on the MLS.
