I would like to know if I can pause one of my listings and re-activate it in 2 months.
The Active listings can be paused (marked temporarily off) and can be reactivated on the MLS. However, there are certain things you should know:
Pausing is MLS-specific:
Certain MLSs allow you to temporarily pause your listing, with durations varying—some up to 2 months, though most limit it to 30 days. It’s recommended to review MLS rules before proceeding.
The pause will not Exceed Expiration:
Please be informed that when you mark your property as temporarily off the market, and it meets the expiration date of the listing, it will be automatically marked as expired by the MLS. Ensure to update the status promptly whenever necessary.
Total Listing Duration:
Pausing your listing doesn't extend the total time it's considered "on the market." For example, if you list your home for 6 months and pause it for 2 months, it will still be considered a 6-month listing, not an 8-month listing.
Updating the status on Houzeo Dashboard:
The process of updating the status or any other detail for your listing is seamless on the Houzeo Dashboard. Kindly refer to
this article to know how to update your listing as 'Temp-off market' on the MLS.
